Sharjah Coop Opens Tesla Charging Stations in Suyoh Mall

Sharjah Cooperative Society Announces the Opening of the First Ultra-Fast Charging Station for Tesla Vehicles in the Region

Sharjah Cooperative Society has announced the opening of the first ultra-fast charging station for Tesla vehicles (PSU) at its branch in the Suyoh Suburb, making it the first of its kind in the Middle East to use Prefabricated Supercharger Units (PSUs). This station adds to Tesla’s global network of charging stations, which now exceeds 200 stations in the UAE.

This pioneering initiative aligns with Sharjah Cooperative Society’s commitment to supporting national environmental sustainability goals and enhancing the electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure in the emirate. It supports the UAE’s strategy to achieve climate neutrality by 2050, and provides fast-charging services for Tesla vehicles, encouraging individuals to adopt eco-friendly electric cars and reduce harmful carbon emissions.

Promoting Sustainability

Majid Al Junaid, CEO of Sharjah Cooperative Society, said:
“At Sharjah Cooperative, we are keen to keep pace with global developments in technology and artificial intelligence. We continuously strive to adopt the latest innovations that contribute to improving quality of life and promoting sustainability.”

He added:
“The opening of the Tesla Supercharger Station at the Suyoh Mall represents a significant step in our strategy to support smart infrastructure and provide modern solutions that meet the aspirations of our community. This aligns with the UAE’s vision in digital transformation and clean energy. We believe that investing in future technologies is an investment in human well-being and quality of life.”

A Global Partnership

Abdullah Al Huraimel, General Manager of Sharjah Retail Group, emphasized that the partnership with global company Tesla strengthens the position of Suyoh Mall as a modern destination that keeps pace with future demands. Sharjah Cooperative aims to integrate smart solutions into its commercial projects to enhance the customer experience and support national efforts in clean energy and innovation.

This achievement also reflects Sharjah Cooperative’s commitment to social responsibility and to supporting local and regional efforts toward more efficient and sustainable infrastructure, in line with the UAE’s aspirations for a smart and sustainable future.

Fourth Generation Superchargers

The site includes V4 Supercharger units (fourth generation), which can add up to 275 kilometers of range in just 15 minutes. This technology features a 3-meter cable for easy connectivity and a 99.97% uptime rate, ensuring user convenience and a smooth charging experience.

The Supercharger network in Sharjah has seen fourfold growth with the addition of 24 new units at “Rahmania Mall” and “Suyoh Mall” locations, bringing the total to 32 charging units in the emirate. This growth responds to the increasing demand for electric vehicles and supports the UAE’s national sustainability goals.

Suyoh Mall was chosen as the location for the first ultra-fast Tesla charging station in Sharjah to reflect the emirate’s strategic vision for sustainable urban expansion and to enhance the readiness of emerging residential communities to accommodate advanced transportation technologies. The new station is expected to serve a wide segment of Tesla vehicle owners.

The announcement of the station’s opening at Sharjah Cooperative’s “Suyoh Mall” received exceptional attention, with Tesla founder and billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk reposting the announcement shared by the company on its official “X” (formerly Twitter) account regarding the launch of the new station in Sharjah.
